Winnie Nwagi Bio
Winnie Nwagi, born on July 20, 1989, to Mr. and Mrs. Kabiito, developed a passion for music early on, participating in music, dance, and drama at school. Raised by her single father, she faced challenges, including dropping out of school and being kicked out of her father’s home as a teenager. Despite these hardships, she persisted in pursuing her musical dreams, moving between recording studios.
Her breakthrough came when she participated in a talent search reality TV show, where she finished as the second runner-up. This exposure led to her being signed by Swangz Avenue, a leading record label in Kampala. In just one year, Winnie achieved significant success, winning numerous awards such as Song of the Year and Breakout Artist. She has become one of the most followed and in-demand musicians in Uganda and is gaining popularity in neighboring countries.
Additionally, Winnie has served as an ambassador for several companies, including Crown Beverages Limited (Pepsi), Startimes, and Sports Club Villa Jogoo Limited.
